Beautiful Baby

Last weekend we had a going away party for some friends at my sister's house. Of course the star of the show was Miss Gabrielle--who could resist such an precious baby! Here a few shots from her impromptu photo shoot.

Ellie and Nanna (my Mom)--my how she loves Nanna!

Gabrielle and her mom--no one can make Gabrielle smile and laugh like her mom!

Gabrielle loves steers--at least plastic roping dummy steers...they must taste delicious because she couldn't keep her tongue of this thing!

We lost our puppy!

It's true! We once had an ADORABLE (ok, i'm a little biased), teeny, tiny five week old Rottweiler/Lab/Border Collie puppy. Well, somehow in the last five months he has disappeared! While Diesel still lives at our house, I'm not sure where the puppy went. Now we have a confident, smart, almost grown-up dog! I'm missing our puppy--but at least he still chases his tail. Take a peak at these photos below for his progression.

Photo note: I took the first three from up above to show how small he was and express his vulnerablility. The last one I took at eye level to show how grown-up he has become.

These next two were taken on the same day but I love how they depict his two favorite spots--in the long grass and in the dirt!

And 45 pounds later...

Horse Camp 2007!

My sister (Jennifer) is professional horse trainer. You can check out her new blog at here. I've always admired her for following her passion and turning her love of horses into a successful career.

This week she is holding her annual JH Training horse camp for the teenage girls she gives lessons to. I've had the priviledge of photographing some of their activities this week as well as participating in an AWESOME roping clinic last night at the camp.

I'll post more pictures of the week's activities as I get permission from the parents--but here is a sneak peak! Also included are some ADORABLE pictures of my favorite niece (ok, she's my only niece...and this year's camp mascot) and my friend Sarah. Enjoy!
Here is the little princess--Gabrielle Grace!
Here she is sporting her new breeches (special horse riding pants!)...she's rockin' the pants and ready for her first pony!

Here is Sarah--she looks like she's having fun!

We roped into the late evening--and all had a great time!

Thanks for having me out to the camp! I'm looking forward to heading out there Thursday for more fun!

Lake Lovin'

We spent the afternoon at the lake for my husband's work (Creative Stoneworks--fabulous granite company!) summer bbq. It was so much fun to capture these four girls' enthusiasum for summer! What a blast!

My First Post!

Well--here I am! The first post of many to come I hope! No better day to start a blog than Friday the 13th! Just thought I'd fill you in on my upcoming plans! I've started scheduling portfolio-building photoshoots and I am so excited! I have a bridal shoot and a family portrait session booked! A HUGE thank you to those of you participating in this new chapter of my life. I've also started preparing my first ad and have drafted my business cards! Hopefully you'll be getting them soon. I hope you enjoy following me along as my new-found passion develops into an exciting adventure! Please share my blog address with friends and family who may be interested in a wedding, portrait or pet photographer! It is a fabulous time to set up photo shoots as I am currently expanding my portfolio--and providing some amazing deals!

As my first picture to post I thought I would share one of my most recent wedding details shots--and one of my favorites!

We knew Echinacea could be beneficial--who knew it could be so beautiful!

P.S. As this is my first post I am still playing around with proper JPEG format and posting size! Please be patient--the original imagine is crystal clear!
